Car transfer booking for travellers

Kiwitaxi
online service development

Testing international market demand for pre-priced taxi bookings from airports, train stations, and hotels.
Goal
The client, Evgeny Fedorov, is a businessman who, having launched several projects, came to us with the idea of building an online transfer booking system.
Client tasks
1
Development of a personal account dashboard.
2
Direct integration of taxi services with the platform.
3
Interface localisation into 5 languages.
Our solution
A technical specification was drawn up, with all business processes and system interfaces worked through collaboratively.

Screen prototypes for the service were developed. During the prototyping phase, the interaction mechanics between users and the system were carefully defined — the process needed to be as simple and intuitive as possible.

The service design was developed and approved by the client, after which the layouts were converted into HTML and CSS.

The software was built using the Scrum methodology, allowing the client to observe progress and actively participate throughout the development process. Demo sessions were held every two weeks.

The site was thoroughly tested against a dedicated test plan covering a wide range of system scenarios. All bugs identified during beta testing were resolved before launch.

The service was released into full production.

Warranty support was provided for a period of three months.
  1. Taxi service dispatchers manage incoming bookings through a dedicated personal account dashboard.
  2. Travellers can book a transfer in over 20 countries worldwide in just 5 minutes.
  3. The clean, intuitive interface allows visitors to quickly navigate the system, place an order, and pay online in just a few clicks. The interface is available in 5 languages.
  4. Mobile communication costs have been reduced thanks to digital order transmission.
  5. The startup has firmly established itself in the market, with the service now operating in partnership with 575 transport companies.

Managing Director, Kiwitaxi
Working alongside the Astarus team, we collaborated on building the Kiwitaxi service.

The Astarus team was tasked with developing the first version of a tourist taxi transfer booking service with minimal functionality, while laying a solid foundation for the project's future growth.

I am pleased to say that Astarus delivered on the task at hand, and I was very satisfied with the collaboration.
